On the other hand, a musty smell would mean that the water doesn’t have enough sanitizer. Both of these issues can be solved by adding some oxidizer to the water and letting the balance even out.
How Does it Look?
The look of the water tells a story as well. Green water means that you have algae present. Not to worry. You should just adjust the chlorine levels to get the pH balance just right. In addition to that you might find that your water is overly foamy. This is caused by a mixture of lotions, body oils, and soaps that come off you and your guests when you get in. You can probably remedy this with a defoaming agent and a little sanitizer.
