You CAN connect with your kids – in your hot tub

When you get past the looks of disgust, the eye rolls and the phone obsessions, every parent will find a kid that really does want to spend time with their parents. They may not ever admit it, but they need to know that their parents want to spend time with them, too. So, how do you find that common ground?

You find it in your hot tub. No matter what age your child is, they will love spending quality time together in the family spa.

Disconnect

Time spent in the hot tub is better than time spent anywhere else because there are very few distractions. Hot tubs and electronics simply don’t mix. That means you might actually get a little eye contact from your kids! There’s also something about the relaxing atmosphere of a hot tub that invites people, even kids, to open up.  If you’re really lucky there could even be a response that includes more than just a grunt.

Relieves Stress

As an adult we see kids as carefree. They don’t have any idea what it really means to be stressed, right? Wrong. Kids of all ages have things that stress them out. What stresses them may seem insignificant to an adult, but to a child they are serious. Connecting with their parents in a hot tub helps to relieve stress by giving the child time to express their feelings. The same stress relief that you feel after a good soak will also be felt by your child. They need time to rejuvenate themselves just like you do and a hot tub is the perfect place to do that.

Safety Considerations

There are some safety considerations if you’re going to be enjoying the hot tub with younger children. First of all babies and toddlers should never be placed in a hot tub. Their sensitive skin makes them more susceptible to overheating. In fact, you should wait until a child can stand on the floor of a hot tub with their head completely out of the water before you allow them to soak. It is also a good idea to lower your hot tub temperature to 98 degrees and limit a child’s soaking time to 15 minutes or less. Remember that if a child feels sick to their stomach or dizzy at all they should get out of the hot tub immediately.

As a parent you do everything you can to make sure that your child has a happy, healthy life. A hot tub is the perfect place to reconnect with your family. The hot, bubbling tub works almost like a portal that will transport your family from their busy, stressful, disconnected day to a calm, relaxing place filled with laughter and good conversation. Come out to the showroom and let us help you find the perfect hot tub to connect your family today.
