Jazzing Up Your Above Ground Pool

You enjoy the cool water on a hot Texas summer day. You’re grateful for the quality time it provides with your family practically all year long. Not to mention, the awesome gatherings you’ve had with friends.

But maybe you’ve never done anything other than install your above ground pool and you’re looking to jazz it up a bit (or a lot) to make it more appealing to the eye. There’s nothing wrong with that. In fact, we recommend it, and Coleman Backyards can help you bring your above ground pool up a notch, lending style to match the enjoyment it brings.

Deck the Pool Walls

With an above ground pool design, you really have unlimited decking options. You can have it made of wood, resin or composite material in a variety of stains. You can surround the pool completely in decking, or just a portion of it. Add railing and a self-latching gate if small children are around to keep them safe, or get a sleek look without it. Keep the deck all one level or add tiers to give it dimension and more usable entertaining space.

Custom Siding

Did you know that custom siding for your above ground pool is also an option? It’s available in a variety of designs including faux brick, stone and concrete. You could get really wild and use tin roof material or wood paneled siding for a rustic look. Whether your goal is rustic or sleek, it’s easily accomplished with this simple addition to your Doughboy above ground pool.

The Illusion of In-Ground

Bring in some dirt to raise the ground level higher around your above ground pool and then pour in some concrete to create a surround that gives the illusion of an in-ground swimming pool. Toward one side of the pool, probably best near the most obvious access point, create concrete steps on either side of the pool that take swimmers up to the concrete patio so they can slide right into the pool or sit on the side to dangle their feet in.

Your above ground pool may be fun, but it should look fun too. Give our sales team at Coleman Backyards a call or come by a showroom and we’ll gladly help you design a beautiful above ground pool setting – after all, backyard is in our name!
