How to Choose the Perfect Hot Tub Temperature

So you just got a new hot tub, and it’s time to set the temperature. Everyone has their preferences on the water temperature they like. Some people like it warmer than others, and this can make the temperature decision even more difficult. But, trust Texas Hot Tub Company to help. Here is how to choose the perfect hot tub temperature.

Try different temperatures.

The first key in choosing the perfect hot tub temperature is starting low. You may choose to start around 98 degrees, or body temperature. Likely, you will want to raise this, because the benefits kick in when water is above body temperature. However, this is a great starting point. As you enjoy your hot tub soak, slowly raise the temperature until you find the right setting. Just be sure to stay 104 degrees or under, and closer to 100 if children or pregnant women are in the hot tub. These are the maximum temperatures recommended by HotSpring® Spas.

Find a perfect temperature for the whole family.

Imagine this: you have enjoyed a nice, relaxing session in your hot tub at 102 degrees. Your spouse tries the hot tub out after you. The next day, you go to get in and it’s freezing! They turned it down to 100 degrees. Instead of relaxing, you get in an argument.

But with a HotSpring spa, everyone will always be happy when they get in the hot tub. You can pick a compromise at 101 degrees while relaxing together. Or, maybe some family members would like a cooler soak in the morning or afternoon, while the late nighters opt for a leisurely evening ritual in the warmth of the water before bedtime. Whatever your ideal soaking temperature, your HotSpring spa can handle it.

Change up the temperature.

In Texas, we have the great option of being able to use our hot tubs all year long, even in winter. Nothing is better than relaxing in nice, hot water when it’s cold outside. But, in the summer, it can get really hot. The good thing is, with HotSpring Spas, you can change up the temperature.

With HotSpring Spas, you can add an optional CoolZone™ system. This system can bring your hot tub temperature down as low as 60 degrees. This means in the summer, you can use your hot tub to cool off during the day, then warm it back up at night.
