Entry-Level vs. High-End Hot Tubs

As a first-time hot tub buyer, you can feel extremely overwhelmed with all of the choices that are available to you. There are literally hundreds of different hot tubs to choose from and just as many vendors that you can buy from, ranging from big box stores to dedicated hot tub shops. All of those vendors are saying that their tub is the one for you. But you know there is no way that they are all the right hot tub for you. After all, there can literally be thousands of dollars in cost difference between tubs. So what exactly is the difference between high-end and entry-level hot tubs and which one is right for you?

Efficiency

A high-end hot tub obviously costs more up front, but some of that cost will be recovered in its energy efficiency. Entry level hot tubs are notoriously inefficient. Their pumps are big, loud and inefficient. They may cost less up front, but they are sure to cost more to run in utilities and chemicals.

Quality

The cost difference between an entry-level and high-end hot tub has to come from somewhere and most of it comes from manufacturing. With an entry-level tub, corners are cut wherever possible to cut cost. Entry-level hot tubs will undoubtedly have less insulation, they will be made with cheaper materials inside and out, making them just what they are…an entry-level hot tub that you will ultimately upgrade. The only question is when?

Size

There are a couple of entry-level vs. high-end factors that don’t affect the quality of what you are getting. The first is size. The size of a hot tub definitely plays a role in how much it costs. The more seats you have the more you pay. So if you are looking for a way to cut costs you could sacrifice a few seats without having to sacrifice efficiency or quality.

Features

Another difference you can control is the features. There are numerous features available to make your hot tub as enjoyable as possible. From fountains to lighting and built-in sound systems, high-end hot tubs have all of the bells and whistles that make everyone look at them with lust. However, you could sacrifice a few bells and whistles to get a better hot tub at a more entry-level price range.

Now that you have all of the facts. You are ready to bring in the feelings. Stop by our showroom and take some time to look at, feel and experience the quality of a Caldera hot tub for yourself. They won’t disappoint.
